Five Easy-To-Make Cocktail Recipes to Quench your thirst this summer.
We’ve teamed up with Hibiki Camberwell to curate the ultimate coffee cocktail, using our hero, HOMEBREW as the caffeine component. Taking inspiration from the infamous Manhattan cocktail, our ‘Melbhatten’ cocktail is the perfect summer beverage for those that want a lazy afternoon sipping in the sunshine. Consisting of Whisky, Carpano Punt e Mes, HOMEBREW Coffee, Angostura Bitters and Kuromitsu.
Even better, we’ve rounded up some of our other favourite cocktails that you can create at home.
ESPRESSO MARTINI
You’ll Need:
- Ice
- 100mL of Vodka
- 50mL of Espresso (you can use our HOMEBREW)
- 50mL of Coffee Liqueur (Kahlua)
- Coffee Beans for presentation
- 100 g of Golden Caster Sugar (for the Sugar Syrup)
How to Make:
1. Heat up your 100g of Golden Caster Sugar on a hot stove until bubbling. Set aside to cool.
2. Pour one tablespoon of your sugar syrup with a handful of ice, vodka, espresso and coffee liquor into a cocktail shaker, and shake vigorously.
3. Strain into a cold martini class and top with your coffee beans.
4. Enjoy!
COFFEE AND CREAM COCKTAIL
You’ll Need:
- 400mL of Tia Maria, Chilled
- 250mL of double cream
- Cocoa powder (for decoration)
How to Make:
1. Pour the Tia Maria into small cocktail glasses.
2. With the back of a teaspoon, pour the cream on top so it floats to the surface, creating a separate layer.
3. Dust the top of your cocktail with cocoa powder and enjoy!
DARK N’ STORMY COFFEE COCKTAIL
What you’ll need:
- 25mL of Dark Rum
- 25mL of Tequila
- Ice
- Ginger Beer
- 2 tablespoons of freshly brewed espresso
How to Make:
1. Fill a Highball glass with ice, and pour in the rum and tequila.
2. Once stirred, pour in your ginger beer, followed by the espresso.
3. Mix together and enjoy!
WHITE RUSSIAN COCKTAIL
What you’ll need:
- 60mL of Vodka
- 2 tablespoons of Kahlua
- 1 tablespoon of cream
How to Make:
1. Mix together all your ingredients.
2. In a small cocktail glass, add your ice-cubes and pour the cocktail on-top.
3. Enjoy!
